C-1To introduce students with the major pathogens of free-living and aquaticulture organisms. Transfer of knowledge about disease prevention and economic losses in aquaculture, which are caused by different kind of pathogens.

Student has knowledge of the current parasitological diagnostics and appropriate hygiene standards used in the acquisition and production of aquatic food.

Student knows the reservoirs and transmission routes of viruses, bacteria and parasites in the aquatic environment and the methods of their elimination.
