T-P-1Students conduct a research project on the characterization of physical and chemical properties of innovative catalysts for ammonia synthesis. The objective of the project is to become familiar with the literature on the subject and to independently prepare a research concept. The students' task will be to select a catalyst material with potentially beneficial properties. This selection will be based on preliminary studies of the physicochemical properties of a series of samples prepared earlier. Students will be responsible for selecting appropriate measurement methods and planning appropriate measurement experiments. They will be familiarized with the most important research methods for characterization of such properties of catalytic materials as: chemical composition, phase composition, structural properties, surface development, catalyst surface composition, catalytic activity. They will elaborate on the results of their measurements, subject them to careful analysis and provide generalizing conclusions. They will submit the results of their work in the form of a written report.105
