Cele przedmiotu

KODCel modułu/przedmiotu
C-1The goals of this course are: 1) to become familiar with the habitats where aquatic plants are commonly found, 2) to understand macrophyte methods to assess the trophic states of water bodies in Europe 3) to understand the functioning of nutrient cycles in aquatic systems, 4) to understand the concepts of restoration and constructed wetlands, 5) become familiar with aquatic nuisance plant species and their role in the environment, 6) become familiar with the primary literature (scientific journals and reference books) in this field.
C-2The lab portion will focus on use of small ecosystems for study, short field trips to local river and lake, and familiarization with field instruments and water testing kits.
